Job Description

We're seeking a friendly and detail-oriented team member to join our crew! As a key part of our restaurant, you'll provide exceptional service, prepare delicious Vietnamese sandwiches, and maintain a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:

- Provide cheerful, helpful, and above-and-beyond service to our guests

- Prepare high-quality food items, including subs, vermicelli, and rice wraps

- Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and explain them accurately to guests

- Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally and calmly

- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, adhering to food safety standards

- Operate Point of Sale system/cash register and manage cash handling responsibilities

- Perform food preparation, restocking, and light paperwork duties

- Implement strategies to limit food waste and optimize production efficiency

- Inventory management: Maintain sufficient inventory levels to avoid stockouts

- Flexibility: Be prepared to adapt to changing circumstances, such as unexpected staff absences or equipment failures.

- Maintains a professional appearance, nail and grooming standards as outlined in the BanhMiYes Operations and Regulation Book

- Use of cleaning chemicals such as Hand Soap, Dish Soap, Food Grade Sanitizer, Degreaser, Window Cleaner, Restroom Cleaner and more

Requirements:

- Legally authorized to work in Canada

- Ability to communicate, read, and write in English

- Reliable transportation to and from work

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask

- Strong customer service and communication skills

- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards

- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs, bend, reach, and stand for entire shift
