Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious sandwiches and food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality customer service, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, customer service, and food safety within a dynamic restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sandwiches and food items according to company recipes and standards Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items Manage time effectively to ensure timely order completion during busy hours Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and food preparation areas in compliance with food safety regulations Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed Follow all food handling and safety procedures to ensure quality and safety of food served

Requirements

Prior experience in food preparation or food service preferred; restaurant experience is a plus Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, is desirable Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations for transactions Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Kitchen experience or background in the food industry is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Basic knowledge of upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and sales
