Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team at our new food truck location at Tudhope Park. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sandwiches and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, providing excellent service to our customers while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer orders and established recipes. Ensure all food safety and handling guidelines are followed during food preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including slicers and grills. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system while providing friendly customer service. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Adhere to time management practices to meet customer demand without compromising quality. Opening and closing duties.

Requirements

Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory management. Experience in food preparation or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a busy setting. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. A positive attitude and willingness to help others in the kitchen environment.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months

Pay: $17.60-$18.80 per hour
