Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality sandwiches and ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role requires attention to detail, a passion for food, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining food safety standards.

Duties

Prepare sandwiches according to customer specifications, ensuring quality and presentation. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines. Manage food preparation tasks, including slicing meats, cheeses, and vegetables. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area and ensure all surfaces are sanitized. Process customer orders using the POS system, including Micros POS, accurately handling cash and credit transactions. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and upselling menu items when appropriate. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; assist with restocking as needed.

Skills

Strong food preparation skills with knowledge of food handling practices. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Previous experience in food service or the restaurant industry is highly desirable. Ability to provide outstanding customer service with a friendly demeanor. Proficient in basic math for cash handling and order processing. Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices. Kitchen experience is a plus; ability to work as part of a team is essential. Skills in serving and upselling menu items enhance the customer experience.
