Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sandblaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting and finishing by using sandblasting techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of various tools and equipment, as well as the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high safety standards. The Sandblaster will play a crucial role in restoring and enhancing the appearance of various surfaces, ensuring that projects meet quality expectations.

Responsibilities

Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting or restoration. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform tasks related to surface preparation. Apply caulking and other materials as needed to ensure proper sealing and finishing. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with carpenters and other construction professionals on residential and commercial projects. Restore surfaces by removing old paint, rust, or other contaminants through sandblasting techniques. Manage time efficiently to complete tasks within designated project schedules.

Requirements

Proven experience in sandblasting or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and sandblasting equipment. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients regarding project needs. Knowledge of residential painting and construction painting techniques is a plus. Attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship in all projects. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as required.
