Seasonal Equipment Operators

to help keep commercial properties safe and snow-free during winter weather events.

Job Overview:

As a Salt & Snow Removal Equipment Operator, you'll be responsible for clearing snow and applying de-icing materials to roads, parking lots, and walkways. This is a weather-dependent, on-call role that requires reliability, responsibility, and comfort working outdoors in cold conditions.

Salt Truck Operators Plow Truck Operators Skid Steer Operators ATV Operators Other snow/ice equipment operators as needed

All trucks, equipment, and tools are provided.



Key Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to snow and ice events (on-call) Show up for shifts

drug- and alcohol-free

, including any impairing medications Conduct pre-trip equipment inspections and report any issues Safely operate plows, salters, ATVs, and skid steers Follow assigned routes, site maps, and safety procedures Apply salt and other de-icing products to roads, lots, and sidewalks Shovel as needed in areas equipment can't access Pile snow in approved locations (as marked on site maps) Log photos, time, and work done through our tracking app Communicate with dispatch and site supervisors Perform basic maintenance (fluid checks, clean-up, etc.) Submit accurate paperwork at the end of each shift Wear proper PPE and follow all company safety protocols Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment Interact respectfully with team members, clients, and the public
Requirements:

Valid

Class 5 Canadian Driver's License

Clean driver's abstract (required upon job offer) Physically fit and able to lift

50 lbs repeatedly

Reliable transportation to job sites or the Langley yard Comfortable working outdoors in cold, wet, and snowy conditions Willing and able to work irregular hours (nights, weekends, holidays) Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently Ability to use a smartphone or data-enabled device for reporting Own proper winter gear (boots, gloves, layers)
Preferred but Not Required:

Experience operating snow removal or heavy equipment Familiarity with snow/ice removal techniques (training provided) Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment
Work Conditions:

Outdoor commercial job sites throughout Greater Vancouver Fast-paced environment around heavy equipment and vehicles Exposure to cold, snow, rain, ice, and noise Flexible and on-call scheduling (depending on weather)

Snow plowing: 1 year (preferred)
