We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Administrator to manage and optimise our Salesforce platform. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of system architecture, IT infrastructure, and cloud services such as AWS and Azure. This role involves maintaining system integrity, implementing customisations, and ensuring seamless integration with various enterprise systems. The Salesforce Administrator will play a pivotal role in supporting business operations through effective system administration and development.
Duties
Manage and configure Salesforce environments, including user setup, security settings, and data management.
Develop and maintain custom objects, workflows, validation rules, and automation processes within Salesforce.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system enhancements aligned with organisational needs.
Integrate Salesforce with other enterprise systems using APIs, RESTful services, SOAP web services, and middleware solutions such as Pegasystems.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform debugging to ensure optimal operation.
Maintain documentation of system configurations, customisations, and procedures in accordance with SDLC best practices.
Oversee data migration activities using SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
Implement security measures including firewalls, VPNs, DHCP configurations, and information security protocols.
Support continuous integration and deployment processes using tools like Jenkins and Git within DevOps pipelines.
Manage virtualisation environments including VMware ESXi and Kubernetes for scalable deployment of applications.
Provide user training and support to optimise utilisation of Salesforce features across the organisation.
Skills
Extensive experience with Salesforce administration and development.
Strong understanding of system architecture principles including service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, load balancing, and system design.
Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, C#, C++, Python, Ruby on Rails, VBA, Shell Scripting (Unix/Linux), and Java.
Knowledge of operating systems including Windows, UNIX/Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Red Hat), and virtualisation platforms like VMware ESXi and Azure Cloud services.
Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL; experience with NoSQL databases is advantageous.
Expertise in network protocols including DNS, DHCP; experience with VPNs and firewall configuration for secure connectivity.
Experience with APIs (RESTful & SOAP), web services integration, DevOps tools (Jenkins), version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of information security best practices to safeguard organisational data assets.
Ability to perform system analysis involving system administration tasks for Linux/Windows servers; knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration is desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills with an aptitude for debugging complex issues across diverse platforms.
