Blubooks is a bookkeeping and compliance company located in Vancouver, BC. We work with business owners around the world to provide affordable, hands-free bookkeeping and Sales Tax services. Our team integrates industry leading software to ensure our clients' financials are prepared efficiently.

Role Description

This is an exciting time to join our company, as we are growing rapidly! We're looking for a Sales Tax Associate that can hit the ground running from day 1.

We will train on the specific nature of the clients and the software we use but you must have a good amount of accounting experience to pull from.

This role in particular will grow in responsibilities quickly so we are looking for someone hungry for a spot on a growing team.

As a Sales Tax Associate you will be responsible for assisting non-resident businesses looking to grow a presence in Canada. We help register, and help file on an ongoing basis. This role involves analyzing sales tax data, preparing accurate tax filings, and providing support during audits.

Qualifications

Great communication skills for communicating with partners and clients Quick learner, ability to absorb registration requriements Excel is our best friend - you need to be strong in Excel to manipulate large data files Ability to work independently and collaboratively Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

Optional

French fluency is an asset (We speak to Revenu Quebec occasionally) Bench Accounting alumni is an asset Experience with Quickbooks, Xero or other popular financial software
