Sales Summer Associate, Consumer Health

As Bayer Consumer Health drives towards our vision to Empower the Transformation of Everyday Health, we have built a customer-centric sales organization to execute on the category leading strategies and plans of our world-class consumer brands

We are seeking a highly motivated Summer Student to join our Sales Team, as the May to August period of our business is of critical importance and there are many jobs to be done to execute with excellence and win the season with our retail customers. The role will have a good balance of exposure to both on-line and store-based retailers.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate an ability to learn quickly and show a commitment to figure it out. Our goal is to provide interesting and challenging work while at the same time have fun and celebrate successes. As a summer sales intern, you will partner with our team and learn how to our go-to-market strategy, distribution network and valued retail partners help us achieve our financial goal, build equity and live to our purpose to help Canadians with their health and wellness needs.

The position will be based in the Bayer headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario.

Duration: May 2023 - August 2023

What you will do:

  • Reporting responsibility to one of our Customer Business Managers, while interacting and supporting various initiatives across the full Sales & eCommerce Team
  • Understanding and helping steer the promotional planning and analysis process (ie. weekly flyers, promotional grids, competitive tracking)
  • Data entry and file maintenance of account specific requirements and plans (ie. deal sheets, store level analysis)
  • Support with administration and analysis of Trade Promotional Management (TPM system)
  • Help in the creation and enhancement of Trade Selling Decks and Promotions (PowerPoint decks)
  • Uploading and administering of content to e-Commerce customer websites (working with brand team to secure packaging, promotional images and copy)
  • Basic project management as activity requires (planning, organizing, executing and analysis)
  • Tracking and reporting - helping account managers or analysts with various database reports
  • Opportunities to interact, learn and engage with other cross-functional groups, most notably Brand & Trade Marketing, Commercial Operations, Category Insights and Supply-Chain
Who you are:
  • A University/College student who has completed at least 2 years of degree in business related field with emphasis on marketing, statistics, finance, economics, or related field
  • Demonstrated understanding and intermediate-capability of analyzing and interpreting data(bases)
  • A degree of sophistication in Microsoft Office, especially in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in preparing, delivering and modifying presentations
  • Ability to work independently, against timelines and multi-task
