We celebrate and preserve Arctic stories and talent, while fostering research in Inuit mythology and traditional knowledge. We also represent Eye of Newt Books, a trade publisher of fantasy, fairy tales & folklore, mythology, and children's fiction. We distribute a diverse selection of trade, educational, and research books for both adults and children.
We're looking for a goal-oriented and energetic
Sales Representative
to manage a strong portfolio of existing accounts while developing new business opportunities in the independent bookstore and gift markets.
The successful candidate would be required to be in the office Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their evolving needs are met and exceeded.
Serve as a point of contact between publisher and retail stores to drive shared success.
Identify new sales opportunities and potential markets to expand Iguttaq Distribution's reach.
Use data and sales analytics to inform strategy, forecast trends, and develop actionable sales plans that drive revenue growth.
Collaborate with internal teams to align supply, marketing, and sales objectives.
Prepare and share relevant sales reports and insights with internal stakeholders and clients.
Communicate proactively to ensure transparency, efficiency, and accountability across all accounts.
Provide excellent day-to-day service and support to accounts, including troubleshooting issues and responding to inquiries quickly and effectively.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals.

Hi Point supply chain software
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Proven sales experience in the Canadian publishing industry.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
High attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
Self-motivated, energetic, and capable of working independently.
Detail-oriented and proactive in problem-solving.
Eagerness to learn and grow new skills.
Requires a sales focus and customer-centric approach.
Superb analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong computer skills; intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills.
Ability to travel.
Experience using Hi Point or similar supply chain management software is an asset.
Experience with Booknet, Bookmanager, and CataList is an asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
