The Role
The Outside Sales - Service role is focused on building strong, lasting relationships with customers while driving growth for NWTC's service operations. You will spend much of your time in the field, meeting with fleet operators, contractors, and commercial customers. By understanding their needs and demonstrating how NWTC can deliver value, you will play a central role in keeping our customers' businesses moving forward. This is a consultative sales role where success depends on your ability to combine product knowledge with relationship-building skills. You will be responsible for growing market share, identifying new business opportunities, and serving as the face of NWTC's service expertise in the community.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with fleet operators, contractors, and commercial customers to promote NWTC service offerings.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory.
Manage a sales pipeline to consistently achieve and exceed growth targets.
Educate customers on service programs, promotions, and specialized offerings.
Collaborate with service managers and internal teams to deliver on customer expectations.
Represent NWTC at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and forecasts within the CRM system.
Provide regular reporting to leadership on customer trends and sales results.
Experience and Skills
Minimum 3-5 years of outside sales experience, preferably within the heavy truck, automotive service, or related industry.
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
Ability to build long-term relationships with a wide range of customer types.
Self-motivated and results-driven, comfortable working independently in the field.
Experience using CRM tools to manage customer data and track activity.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
