Dukes Building Supplies is a locally owned and operated building-supply company serving Fort McMurray and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
We supply high-quality lumber, engineered wood, and full building-materials solutions for contractors, builders, and homeowners -- backed by expert product knowledge and reliable service.

We are seeking a

Contract Sales Representative

to join our Fort McMurray team. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of lumber and building materials, an understanding of Alberta construction codes, and proficiency with sales and quoting software. You'll be responsible for preparing accurate quotes, assisting contractors and builders, and maintaining professional customer relationships.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and trade customers. Prepare accurate quotes, estimates, and material lists based on blueprints or take-offs. Provide expert product and code advice on lumber, engineered wood, roofing, insulation, drywall, and related building materials. Coordinate with inside sales, purchasing, warehouse, and delivery teams to ensure order accuracy and customer satisfaction. Use CRM or quoting software to manage customer records and sales activity. Participate in occasional job-site meetings using company-provided vehicles. Maintain a professional image and uphold company service standards at all times.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in building-materials or lumber sales (contractor or B2B preferred). Strong knowledge of lumber, engineered wood, and construction materials. Understanding of Alberta Building Code and local construction practices. Proficiency with quoting tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Valid Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation to and from work. Professional, dependable, and customer-focused work ethic.

Work Schedule

Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM On-site in Fort McMurray, Alberta Minimal travel; company vehicle provided for job-site visits
