both Urbani's world-renowned truffle products
and
Sabrina Foods' curated selection of high-quality imported and domestic specialty foods
, working directly with restaurants, chefs, and foodservice buyers across the region.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As part of this dynamic partnership, you will play a key role in expanding market presence, nurturing client relationships, and increasing sales volume for two highly respected brands in the gourmet food space.
Your responsibilities will focus on managing and growing a portfolio of existing accounts while proactively identifying and developing new opportunities. You will introduce clients to Urbani's fresh truffles, truffle sauces, mushrooms, and gourmet condiments, alongside Sabrina's broader range of specialty food products tailored to the needs of the Canadian culinary market.
This position is ideal for a self-starter who is customer-centric, highly organized, and genuinely enthusiastic about gourmet cuisine and building lasting relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage daily order flow for existing clients, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and client satisfaction
Actively visit and engage with new and existing customers to promote and sell fresh truffles.
Proactively open new accounts with targeted restaurants and foodservice operators
Represent both Urbani Truffles and Sabrina Foods product lines with passion and in-depth knowledge
Present products in person and via virtual meetings, offering tastings and samples when needed
Maintain accurate records and track all activity, appointments, and follow-ups in the CRM system
Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure proper inventory management and client support
Regularly communicate updates to clients and supervisors regarding product availability, seasonality, pricing, and promotions
Review sales reports and data to adjust sales strategies and maximize results
Remain up to date on culinary trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments
Travel locally throughout Toronto and nearby regions to meet clients and prospects as needed
Contribute to a collaborative, solution-oriented team culture
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1 year of sales experience in the foodservice or specialty food industry
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or Culinary Arts preferred
Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
Highly professional, detail-oriented, and dependable
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian is a strong plus
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM software
Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
Must be able to commute to or relocate to Toronto (L4K 4Z9) prior to starting
Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary:
CAD $40,000/year

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role involves a mix of in-office work and field sales. It requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, use a computer and telephone, and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs. The position also involves visiting restaurants, attending tastings, and participating in industry events.
