The Sales Representative is a key customer facing, sales and support role. This role will be responsible for managing a small portfolio of accounts as well as supporting the sales team with customer inquiries, new product listings, marketing initiatives and other key sales and business objectives.
We are looking for someone who can:
Build relationships with customers by proactively following up on inquiries
Maintain a high level of product knowledge and service
Work with buyers to develop new opportunities
Provide research and information customers to generate new opportunities with existing customers and prospects
Participate with new product launches and campaigns
Update and maintain information in the company customer database
Maintain customer portals and keep product information up to date
Assist sales team with special projects, preparation of presentations, custom reports and other initiatives as required
Travel occasionally to visit customers, attend trade shows and customer specific events
Must have valid passport to be able to cross an international border
Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 2-3 years experience in sales
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to make excellent sales to achieve performance in alignment with goals and objectives.
Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational, planning and communication skills.
Motivated and creative team player.
Computer literate with proficiency using basic programs such as Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, specifically excel.
Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
Excellent listening skills.
Strong written communication skills.
Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.
Ability to travel to visit and cater to customers and attend sales events and trade shows.
Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
High level of integrity and work ethic.
Requires mental and visual concentration.
Strong attention to detail i.e. entering in orders accurately and efficiently
Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
