West Four Group of Companies Inc. is a Western Canadian leader in supplying building materials, lumber, doors, hardware, and building specialties. Our brands include Security Building Supplies, Madero, Penner Doors & Hardware, and Two Six Creative, with facilities in Regina, Calgary, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg.

Madero has an opening in the Calgary location for the right individual to join our team. This person will report to the Sales Manager and Operations Manager.

What will you be doing?

This position is responsible for driving profitable sales and customer relationships.

Pursue and cultivate new business while servicing and fostering our existing customer base. Travel in Southern Alberta and the BC Kootenay areas as well as to trade shows as necessary. Achieve sales targets created with the Sales Manager and help achieve the branch's financial targets. Gaining leads, quoting, detailing orders, follow-ups, and relationship building are critical components of this position. Effectively represent Madero's interests when dealing with customers, employees, and suppliers.

What background will make you a successful candidate?

Experience in Doors, Hardware and Building supplies. Previous Sales / Customer Service experience required. A realization that customer service and relationships are a primary focus. Organizational skills and self-motivation are important attributes. Work well in supporting a team-based environment. A strong knowledge base of the construction and building materials industry. Basic computer skills are imperative; strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel) and email clients. Possess a valid driver's license and willing to travel and meet with customers at their locations. Practice safe driving.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Strong sales skills with an emphasis on sales results and customer experience Driven to exceed targets and budgets Excellent interpersonal and communication skills An outgoing personality and professional demeanour Prior building/construction material sales experience is a plus Knowledge of commercial doors, frames, hardware, and building specialties is a plus A good technical understanding of the construction process and building envelope The ability to meet multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks Strong computer skills Ability to read construction drawings and door hardware specifications High level of organization and attention to detail
