We are currently hiring a Sales Representative for our School & Commercial Bus division Western Canada Bus
Position Summary:
The Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling Commercial and School Buses, along with associated services tailored to meet the operational and financial needs of a diverse bus customer base--including school boards, municipalities and businesses.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, they plan a pivotal role in delivering a premium customer experience by offering full-spectrum solutions through a consultative selling approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation and Prospecting
: Identifying and contacting potential new clients (e.g., school districts, private charter companies, transit authorities) through cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
Customer Relationship Management
: Building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business and provide ongoing support and after-sales service.
Product Knowledge and Presentation
: Developing a deep, often technical, understanding of the buses and services offered to effectively communicate their features, benefits, and value propositions to clients.
Sales and Negotiation
: Preparing and presenting quotes and proposals, negotiating prices and contract terms, and closing sales deals that are mutually beneficial.
Paperwork and Reporting
: Completing necessary paperwork to finalize bus sales, processing orders, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date sales activity records in CRM.
Market Awareness
: Staying informed about product innovations, competitors, and general market conditions to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Travel:
Traveling frequently within a specific geographic territory to meet clients face-to-face and conduct demonstrations.

Qualifications:
3-5 years of previous sales experience in the school or commercial bus industry, or heavy equipment/truck.
Excellent communication skills and effective listening ability
Strong negotiation skills with a passion for sales
Strong problem solving and customer service skills
Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to take initiative
Excellent computers skills including Microsoft 365
Post-secondary education is an asset.
A valid class 5 drivers' license
Ability to travel
