This role is ideal for someone with strong industry knowledge, sales expertise, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with contractors and commercial clients. If you have experience in the construction industry-whether in sales or as a former contractor looking to transition into a sales role-this opportunity could be the perfect fit.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain sales to contractors and commercial accounts within an assigned territory.
- Promote and sell a full range of building materials and solutions to commercial clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and networking.
- Maintain a call log and prospect list to track and manage sales activity.
- Make product and service recommendations based on clients' needs and budgets.
- Negotiate and close deals in line with company pricing, policies, and guidelines.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships through regular follow-ups.
- Monitor industry trends, client needs, and market developments.
- Conduct business analysis for key accounts and implement value-added services
- Work closely with purchasing and management teams to establish special pricing.
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Operations to review the progress of commercial accounts.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge, sales strategies, and negotiation skills.
- Ensure smooth coordination with yard foremen and inventory teams for project fulfillment.
- Handle client inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.Desired Profile & Skills:- Education & Experience: DEP and/or DEC in sales or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years in sales or a related role.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with building materials, construction, and contractor industry best practices.
- Language: Proficiency in French (spoken and written).
- Sales & Negotiation: Strong negotiation, communication, and sales skills with a proven track record.
- Technical Skills: Comfortable using sales software (e.g., Salesforce) and other digital tools.
- Personal Attributes: Persuasive, dynamic, meticulous, conscientious, courteous, resourceful, and self-motivated.
- Other Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle.Other Language Requirements: English
