Job Description


The National Ballet of Canada is looking for committed and enthusiastic permanent part-time staff to work in the Call Centre and on-site Box Office with the Audience & Donor Services (ADS) Department. The Sales Representatives will be primarily responsible for making outbound phone sales calls, with a focus on donation and subscription acquisition and renewal campaigns. The role will also be responsible for inbound calls and enhancing the overall customer and donor focus experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for outbound phone sales which include donation and subscription sales for acquisition, renewal, and auxiliary campaigns
  • Assist with inbound phone sales which include processing ticket sales, answering general emails, and subscription renewal
  • Completing sales and pledge forms accurately
  • Capable of providing excellent customer service with flexibility between inbound and outbound calls
  • Staying informed and knowledgeable in all aspects of The National Ballet of Canada including repertoire, membership, policies and procedures
  • Assist with patron inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism over the phone, through email correspondence and in person
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while representing The National Ballet of Canada
  • Provide administrative support to the management team and assist with related processing, database maintenance and other administrative tasks
Requirements: Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in delivering a high level of customer service
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail is critical
  • Able to take initiative, learn quickly and adapt to changing demands
  • Knowledge of Tessitura Ticketing Software is an asset
  • A passion for the performing arts is an asset
Work Requirements
  • Shifts are available Monday to Fridays, 3:00 \xe2\x80\x93 7:00pm
  • Occasional Saturday shift from 11:00am \xe2\x80\x93 3:00pm or as required
  • Ability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week and up to 25 hours per week during peak business operations
  • Staff will be scheduled to work onsite at the Walter Carsen Centre (470 Queens Quay West, Toronto)
  • Staff may also be scheduled to work in the box office at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts as required (145 Queen St West, Toronto)

  • This is a unionized position with a starting pay of $17.18 per hour plus commission (Union dues will be deducted from pay)
