Outside Technical Sales Representative
Purpose of Role:
Meet or exceed revenue targets through brand awareness, business development and direct sales.
Key Accountabilities:
Sales
? Meet or exceed weekly, monthly & quarterly revenue targets and other KPI?s (see below)
? Drive sales from new clients.
? Maintain relationships with existing clients.
? Develop & maintain brand awareness amongst our target markets (for example, trade shows, performing training sessions)
Strategy
? Understand company business strategy and product lines
? Maintain current knowledge competitor products and strategies
? Identify business expansion opportunities
? Provide feedback to top management on industry and customer opportunities and trends
? Close opportunities when lost and provide an explanation for loss whenever possible; harvest lessons learned to continually improve our sales process
Product Awareness
? Maintain current product awareness
? Understand how products are used (including any statutory or regulatory requirements)
? Understand customers product needs via contract requirements, RFQs, Sales orders, drawings, site visits, and/or other verbal and written communication, and ensuring that criteria for acceptance of the product, including test and inspection activities, delivery requirements, and post delivery activities are known.
? Determine whether there are any requirements not stated by the customer but necessary for intended use of the product
Customer Service
? Provide customer service to address customer queries or concerns.
? Ensure any changes to requirements are resolved
? Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve problems
Authority to:
? Approach potential and existing clients to present supplier products and services
? Identify sales opportunities
? Estimate and quote prices, credit terms, warranties and delivery dates
? Develop sales proposals
? Prepare sales contracts and reports
? Prepare sales projection for future periods
? Initiate vendor RFQs and purchase orders
Analyze customer feedback and offer suggestions for improvement and expansion

Qualifications & Experience:
? At least 2 years? experience in a sales role is required
? Sales or marketing specific training is an asset.
? Work experience in construction industry an asset.
Degree or diploma in Marketing Communications or Business Administration is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
