We're looking for a Sales Program Manager, RB Capital Solutions. The work location for this position is Burnaby, British Columbia and is considered a fully remote or hybrid work arrangement.

The Opportunity:

The Sales Program Manager, RB Capital Solutions facilitates the origination of strategic structured financing opportunities. These opportunities require alternative capital solutions in addition to valuation and potential disposition of assets. This role will face end user customers, internal stakeholders, and external referral sources to develop an opportunity pipeline.

In this role you'll:

  • Identify and drive new business opportunities, source and secure new clients
  • Build effective and collaborative relationships with key decision-makers within turnaround consulting, private equity, advisory, lending, legal, accounting as well as selected operating companies
  • Participate in deal presentations and conduct face-to-face or virtual meetings with prospects
  • Work to expand personal networks of senior decision makers in the construction and transportation sectors
  • Engage and collaborate with other Ritchie Bros and RBFS divisions, as needed, in order to provide existing/potential clients or referral partners with the most up to date industry/market knowledge and experience
  • Maintain a transaction pipeline to meet or exceed established revenue goals
  • Regularly use Salesforce to ensure that data reporting, customer information and sales activity/pipeline are up to date
  • Participate in conferences, events and informal networks to develop, build and sustain a robust set of professional relationships and source opportunities
  • Work closely with capital providers, valuation providers, disposition channel providers, and clients to oversee transactions from start to finish
Here's what you bring:

3+ years of experience working in Relationship Management or as a Program Manager

Ideally experience from the following: Commercial credit, heavy equipment / transportation industries, and/or financial accounting.

Completion of a post-secondary education with focus on Business

MBA / CFA completion is a nice to have

Relationships or experience in the lending, legal, or advisory sectors with a focus on transitional lending is preferred

Proficiency with Salesforce, MS Word, Excel, credit decisioning, contract management and/or loan application software.

This job will require you to:
  • Managing key relationships and developing new opportunities:
Engage on a daily and weekly basis with Ritchie Bros. strategic accounts and regional sales groups for opportunity referrals.

Engage on a daily and weekly basis with RBFS account managers, sales managers, and credit specialists for opportunity referrals.

Work closely with valuations group to secure referrals and engage key valuation customers for referral originations.

Coordinate marketing collateral and consistent follow up with all groups to ensure offering is always top of mind.

Handles application process in an efficient manner:

Collecting a thorough package of customer information to begin initial deal due diligence, ensuring all outstanding follow up information is collected.

Develop initial deal structuring based on customer needs and align with capital providers capabilties

Facilitating introductions to underwriters, valuations, and other groups as needed to progress transactions.

Ability to facilitate transactions with long sales cycles:

Working with clients, underwriters, valuations, various lienholders to manage sales process from start to close.

Setting customer expectations surrounding timeline, information requirements, and process.

Proactively assessing opportunities for fit and viability

Assist in deal execution and closing process as needed to ensure

Actively mining all data sources to originate new opportunities:

Pro-actively engaging with RBA/RBFS customers via e-mail and/or telephone to originate net new opportunities.

Using third party data to develop new prospects and relationships

Engaging the marketing team to drive messaging to all stakeholders and clients
