We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager part of our sales team and drive business growth across various sectors.
The ideal candidate will possess an University Degree or College Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Robotics Automation Technology, Project Management, Business Economics, or a similar field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and extensive sales experience, strong sales skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in managing sales operations.
This role involves developing new business opportunities, maintaining key client relationships, and executing effective sales strategies to meet organizational goals. The Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence through innovative marketing and technical sales initiatives.
Duties
Participation in contract development /negotiations and the delivery of technical presentations at customers sites in North America.
Develop relationships with engineers, decision-makers, and procurement teams, often in key industries. Promote Dieffenbacher capabilities to customers to gain new business.
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies tailored to North America markets and industry segments such as technology and technical sales
Identify new business opportunities through market analysis, networking, and business development efforts.
Oversee account management activities to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Conduct negotiations with clients to close deals effectively while maintaining profitability
Collaborate with marketing teams to create campaigns that enhance brand visibility and generate leads
Drive sales from discovery to closing, including deliverance of sales presentations and attending trade shows
Assist, with coaching, and training of team members to foster professional growth
Maintain an in-depth understanding of industry trends, and emerging technologies relevant to the company's offerings
Ensure compliance with company policies and uphold excellent customer service standards
Skills
Demonstrated experience with strategic sales planning and execution, capable of managing complex projects from conception through to completion.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close high-value deals effectively
Expertise in business development, account management, and customer service excellence
Strong skills with MS Office suite and MS Project, enabling efficient sales planning, tracking, and communication. Experience in utilizing MS Teams is an asset
Proficient written and spoken. Excellent ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with industries utilizing hydraulic presses to support: automotive, aerospace, defense, energy and mining, housing materials, water management subsystems, telecommunication structures and general manufacturing.
Experience with Hydraulic presses and equipment, automation systems, lasers, heavy industrial machinery. Complete turn-key manufacturing systems.
Willingness to travel extensively across North America is a must.
Excellent analytical skills to interpret market data and develop strategic plans
Effective communication skills for engaging clients, presenting solutions, and building long-term relationships
Knowledge of marketing principles as they relate to driving sales growth
Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and technological advancements
