Job Description

Specific Duties and Responsibilities



Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and performance management for the Sales team, ensuring clarity of goals, expectations, and priorities. Oversee the distribution and prioritization of new business leads, service inquiries, and administrative requests handled by the Sales team. Partner with Sales leadership and Management peers to assess pipeline health, identify gaps, and assign strategic tasks to the Sales team to support sales goals. Monitor lead flow and follow-up activity to ensure timely engagement and proper allocation to Account Managers. Develop and exhibit proficiency in customer and industry trend analysis. Monitor and analyze competitor pricing trends and compare them with the company's pricing strategy to ensure market competitiveness. Develop and present comprehensive market plans and competitive strategies, including pricing models and bid preparation, to support business growth. Train Sales Representatives on effective product, service, and industry presentations, and monitor their performance to ensure consistent quality. Collaborate with branch staff on budget preparation and monthly budget tracking and forecasting. Oversee the sales team's performance by establishing expectations, delivering regular coaching, and providing guidance or counseling as needed to enhance effectiveness. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.

Education and Qualifications



Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four (4) year college or university. Five (5) or more years' experience in waste industry or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior knowledge of all lines of business and equipment desired. Possess valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present to a variety of audiences. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong respectful relationships with a variety of groups, from the grassroots to senior levels, both internally and externally. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to find creative solutions to complex problems. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical journals or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to create, design and implement solutions to general and customer specific problems. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to self-direct various assigned initiatives and to work under limited supervision.
