We are a fast-growing, industry-leading manufacturer of premium, specialized crop-processing equipment. We're seeking a driven and self-reliant Sales Manager to oversee our sales team and maintain momentum in our high-growth market. Based in the Ottawa, Ontario area, this role focuses on managing Account Executives (our sales reps) to ensure full pipelines, consistent engagement across all stages of the sales funnel, and disciplined weekly outbound execution. You will guide each Account Executive in planning and executing a robust slate of outbound activities every week to keep the sales engine running steadily. With senior management (CEO and COO) actively involved in sales strategy, you'll handle the day-to-day operational leadership--keeping the "drum beat" of sales going strong. Responsibilities
Manage and motivate Account Executives to maintain full sales pipelines, engage prospects at every funnel stage, and consistently hit activity targets.
Work closely with sales reps to monitor performance, provide hands-on coaching, and ensure accountability without micromanagement.
Guide each Account Executive in planning and executing a full slate of outbound activities each week, ensuring consistent prospecting and outreach momentum.
Identify, prospect, and support the closing of high-value equipment sales, including those involving equipment financing.
Oversee key accounts, building long-term relationships for client satisfaction and retention.
Collaborate with marketing and senior leadership to align on initiatives while executing operational sales tactics.
Use Salesforce to track team activities, manage leads, and analyze metrics for continuous improvement.
Negotiate contracts with decision-makers to secure deals.
Deliver reports on sales performance, trends, and competitor insights to senior leadership.
Foster a culture of self-reliance and high performance through targeted training and development.
Experience & Qualifications
Proven B2B sales experience with high-value equipment ($100,000+), ideally in specialized manufacturing sectors.
Strong track record in managing sales teams, driving rep activity, and ensuring pipeline health in competitive markets.
Expertise in prospecting, closing complex sales, and handling equipment financing.
Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving skills; able to operate independently and remove burdens from senior management.
Proficient in Salesforce for tracking, analysis, and team oversight.
Outstanding leadership with a focus on inspiring self-motivated teams in a results-oriented, no-frills culture.
Analytical mindset to evaluate trends and implement data-driven adjustments.
Commitment to hard work, common-sense values, and a merit-based approach--avoiding unnecessary distractions.
Willingness to travel (~25% of time) to meet clients, primarily in the US.
