Under the direction of the General Manager, and the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing (RDOSM), the Sales Manager is responsible for driving top-line revenue and achieving budgeted sales goals within the Corporate IT, Corporate Group, Extended Stay, Government, and SMERF segments, while supporting other market segments as needed.

The Sales Manager will work collaboratively with the LMS (Hilton Lead Management Services) Team, fostering a positive and enthusiastic work environment. As a representative of the hotel, the Sales Manager is expected to uphold and promote exceptional guest service by ensuring all hotel policies and procedures are followed. The Sales Manager will contribute to a positive, enthusiastic and inclusive environment.

This role is primarily focused on revenue generation and relationship development. It is not an administrative or operational position.

Major Responsibilities

? Secure quality business in the Corporate IT, Corporate Group, Extended Stay, Government, and SMERF segments to achieve budgeted revenue goals.

? Weekly sales activities to include prospecting new accounts (telephone/email), active account maintenance (telephone/email), target account calls (telephone/email), site tours and sales blitzes where applicable.

? Conduct qualified sales appointments with key local, national, and CNR accounts either in person (outside visit), at the hotel (meeting, luncheon, event) or virtually.

? Collaborate with BTS/ASO as required to secure national and international CNR business.

? Respond to all leads promptly and professionally (if there is no LMS).

? Develop an annual marketing/sales action plan to support the sales budget to achieve revenue, ADR, and occupancy objectives.

? Modify the above Sales Action Plan to Quarterly based on changing marketing intelligence.

? Participate in the annual sales budget process.

? Complete and submit weekly sales activity reports accurately and on time.

? Represent the hotel in a professional, approachable manner, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients, guests and team members.

? Foster collaboration and quality service through effective communication with team members and department leaders.

? Perform other supportive duties as assigned by the RDOSM and/or General Manager, while always staying focused on sales first.

Strategic Planning

? Participate in the top-line budgeting and marketing planning strategy with GM and RDOSM.

? Adhere to the Marketing Plan, budgets, and Quarterly Action Plans.

? Once such plans are approved, accepts responsibility for assigned aspects of the plans.

? Participate in weekly sales meetings and LMS calls where applicable.

? Prepare annual Wish/Walk rate strategy to RDOSM and GM.

Direct Selling / Account Management



? Qualify leads and prospects gained from the hotel's arrival reports, personal appointment sales calls, prospecting, referrals, sales blitzes, Brand Sales Leads, Bayview hotel referrals, and other sources (Corporate IT, Corporate Group, Extended Stay, Government, and SMERF).

? Review Arrivals Report daily and weekly, ensuring the Front Desk provides Sales touch points and CRM for Front Desk execution. Follow up with FD for guest information and conduct follow up with guests for future opportunities.

? Qualify business from in-house sources by connecting with guests during breakfast or evening guest experience, and Manager on Duty shifts where applicable.

? Provide information on specific national accounts for Qualifiers and RFPs to RDOSM, prior to submission for CARP and RFP season.

? Provide clients with quarterly room night production and level of future room night business

? Participate in the Brand Global Week of Sales blitz and combined Bayview sales blitzes

Internal Hotel Administration



? Communicate to and coordinate with the other hotel departments and hotel personnel all sales information necessary for professional execution of commitments

? Document accurately and input all pertinent information and sales activities in Delphi.fdc daily

? Foster the sales culture throughout the hotel

? Participate in hotel team initiatives, huddles, etc.

? Participate in all Brand webinars and mandatory Sales training required for position as outlined by Brand Standards.

Customer Service and Guest Relations



? Support the hotel's standards and contribute to the delivery of consistent and exceptional guest service.

? Solicit guest feedback and alert GM to all opportunities for hotel improvement.

? Accept responsibility to enact the customer satisfaction pledge of the Brand.

? Assist the RDOSM and/or GM in resolving service concerns.

Community Relations



? Participate in the hotel's Stewardship initiatives and participate in assigned community and assigned industry organizations as directed by GM.

Health and Safety, and Loss Prevention



? Follow the hotel's Employee Handbook including dress code and professional conduct guidelines

? Ensure all sales files are secured at close of each business day, maintaining an organized and clean work space.

? Maintain, promote and follow Health and Safety within the department and hotel through the understanding and following of the procedures of the Hotel's Emergency Response Plan

? Properly use and care for all equipment and tools used to perform duties

? Follow all guest and property security policies

? Report accidents and/or hazards to the GM

? Participate in hotel's semi-annual and annual health and safety trainings, and mandatory staff meetings

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
