Sales Floor Manager -



The Sales Floor Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager, and works very closely with the Service Advisors and the Head Technician. All salespeople and service advisors report directly to the Sales Floor Manager.

Summary



Leads the charge for the location's daily sales activities; sets the standard for how Cyclesmith is remembered by riders and sets an example for the entire team by creating an amazing cycling experience for everyone who walks through the doors.

The Sales Floor Manager (SFM) builds and leads the sales team's commitment to high standards of service, exceeding rider expectations.

The SFM partners with the Operations Manager and Store Owner to help foster and encourage a winning attitude and enable the team to meet or exceed goals and achieve consistently high levels of rider experience.

The Sales Floor Manager must also be a high-level salesperson, demonstrating an ability to close sales and exhibit exceptional hospitality.

Job Duties



Administrative

Maintain relevant and accurate cash handling and control procedures Display good judgment when approving customer discounts Report team members' issues to Operations Manager Create a team schedule to support store objectives; monitor and record sick days, vacation, and absences via Payworks Software; verify time clocks Review end of day reports for accuracy; record KPIs for review Participate in and contribute to store planning sessions and management meetings Conduct semi-annual scorecard reviews in conjunction with Operations Manager Conduct regular Store Inspection Reports
Team

Mentor and train new team members with product knowledge and working practices Train and teach through leading by example, post-sale debriefs, team huddles, and role playing Present the store's goals and standards to the sales team Delegate tasks to team members and assign Directly Responsible Individuals (DRIs) Build and maintain a happy, motivated staff; create a great place to work Ensure safety procedures are followed by team members Ensure emails are responded to in a timely fashion Assist with recruiting by sorting resumes, screening, etc. Monitor team performance and KPIs, provide corrective coaching when needed Conduct team huddles
Infrastructure

Maintain a well stocked and impeccably displayed sales floor; coordinate in-store signage, displays, and general appearance Communicate inventory issues or opportunities to the Operations Manager Keep the sales floor clean and organized, swept, and vacuumed daily, and keeps the cash wrap clean, stocked, and well organized
Area of Expertise

Provide exemplary hospitality to riders Stay up-to-date on bicycle products and trends Resolve rider complaints regarding sales and service, particularly Listen360 Authorize discounts, returns, and other transactions Act as the leader on the sales floor, driving individual accountability amongst the sales team

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
