Forklift Sales Manager
to join our team.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, results-oriented professional with strong business acumen and a passion for developing and executing sales strategies. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence while working closely with rental, service, and operations teams to provide a seamless and reliable customer experience.
Job Overview:
This role is to lead and grow our forklift sales division. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing sales strategies, developing new customer relationships, managing existing accounts, and driving revenue growth across our forklift product lines.
As the Forklift Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in achieving company sales targets while delivering exceptional service to our clients in industrial, construction, and logistics sectors. You will also collaborate closely with our rental, service, and operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. equipment operates safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives in forklift sales.
Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, and customer segments.
Manage a team of sales representatives (if applicable), providing leadership, coaching, and performance management.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
Conduct product demonstrations and site visits as needed.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's forklift offerings (including electric, propane, diesel models).
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements to close sales effectively.
Collaborate with the rental and service departments to deliver integrated equipment solutions.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify areas of competitive advantage.
Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline development for senior management.
Qualifications
:
Proven experience in industrial
forklift sales
(3+ years preferred),
Not Forklift Operator
Strong knowledge of material handling equipment, especially forklifts and related accessories.
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and manage client accounts.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time and priorities effectively.
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Valid driver's license with willingness to travel within the assigned region.
Leadership or sales team management experience is an asset.
Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
