K1 Speed is an international indoor electric go-karting entertainment company that has more than 80 locations worldwide, including 4 in Canada.

K1 Speed Canada is looking for a Sales Manager.



Please note that K1 Speed Toronto is the home base for this position.



Travel to other K1 Speed Canada locations and for outbound sales opportunities is required.
This role is currently managing sales at our North York and Mississauga locations while supporting our other two locations (and growing).

We're recruiting a customer service focused Sales Manager, that can lead the Events team, support and increase event sales and develop lasting business relationships with external business in our current and future locations. This is an exciting new position for K1 Speed Canada that will support our continued growth into new areas and markets. This position will work closely with the current Event Agents (direct reports), Business Support Manager, Location's Management team and the Regional Manager (position Manager).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



Manage the group sales department, including fairly distributing sales leads to event agents. Audit accuracy of open availability in the booking system and that agents are entering information correctly using the tools and trackers provided. Track and report different sales data to key team members Thrive in a fast-paced inbound and outbound sales environment Strong sales background with developed experience in solution based sales Passionate about karting and/or strong product knowledge to inform current and future customers the benefits of booking with k1 speed. Trusted customer service background with the ability to quickly address and solve customers concerns or booking issues Ability to build, manage and follow up with a pipeline of current and potential customers Experience in making 100+ calls/emails daily, including gathering interest, qualifying prospects, closing sales, and post event follow ups. Manager presence (in the office) have a strong "on floor" presence, communicated with potential event customers, including site tours Manage team vacation/time off requests Performance evaluation of direct reports, experience in implementing individual support plans & goal setting Verify cohesive, up to date and accurate information working with multiple departments across multiple sites Maintain balance between public racers, including online reservations when booking events Thorough knowledge of public offerings, the online reservation system and group events packages Direct appropriate online reservations in the benefits of converting to a group event Manage group events reservation system to have accurate availability across all centers Work with a contact from each center as group event support and when in need for additional context Participate and lead weekly events meeting with event agents and location managers Investigate and resolve group event challenges related to booking process, services onsite and/overall experience. monitor event specific survey platform, and address group event concerns accordingly Work with caterers and create catering partnership opportunities Be in advance of market trends Build event database and networks Maintain department budget ("hours worked") & optimize scheduled support Go out in the community to create/develop business relationship with potential larger customer Meet and exceed our event KPI's, including customer satisfaction, revenue and more Additional duties as assigned my manager

Skills and/or Qualifications:



4+ years outbound/inbound sales experience is a must experience managing multiple events at the same time 2+ years experience in managing a team/department Key skills required Strong communication skills (phone, email and in person) Proficient in Google Suit, Clubspeed, Pipedrive (or ability to learn) Natural leadership and team player skills Prioritizing problem solving skills Coordinating and scheduling skills Ability to stay calm and positive in stressful high tension situations Strong time management not only for yourself but your team Must be coachable and able to coach Reliable transportation is required
