As Sales Manager, you will be the driving force behind a customer-focused sales team dedicated to delivering exceptional service and results across our Northern Alberta branches. Your primary mission is to coach, mentor, and develop sales staff--empowering them to exceed targets while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will champion customer-centric strategies, ensuring every team member understands and responds to client needs with tailored solutions. By modeling best practices and providing hands-on guidance, you will create an environment where sales professionals thrive, customers feel valued, and our business grows sustainably.



What You'll Be Doing:

Duties and Responsibilities:



Lead, coach, and motivate the Sales Team to achieve individual and team goals. Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture. Support the development and execution of sales strategies to drive revenue, increase profitability, and grow market share. Champion customer retention strategies by resolving escalated issues and supporting long-term relationships. Build and maintain strong customer relationships; serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer needs and delivering tailored solutions. Manage the sales pipeline, expand high-potential accounts and refine pricing and promotional strategies. Conduct regular sales meetings, track team performance, and report results to senior leadership. Work closely with branch operations teams to ensure seamless communication and service delivery. Support collection efforts in partnership with the Credit Department when needed. Work closely with internal teams to identify profitable equipment sales opportunities. Develop annual goals and objectives that are in-line with the Branch performance. Perform ongoing reviews to ensure performance and progression to targets Represent the company at events and support brand-building through networking, social media, and marketing campaigns.

What You'll Bring to the Team



Qualifications and Requirements:



8+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably within the equipment rental, construction, industrial or related industries. 2+ years of leadership experience is preferred. Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a relevant field of study, or equivalent work experience.

Proven track record of coaching, mentoring and developing sales talent.



Familiarity with construction equipment and rental operations is a plus, including experience with fleet management and optimizing equipment utilization. Valid driver's license required and a satisfactory driver's abstract (no more than 3 demerit points). Willingness and ability to travel frequently (approximately 40%-60% travel time) throughout the Northern Alberta Region. This position will be primarily "on the road". Proficiency with CRM software and the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). A natural leader who can motivate and inspire a team, creating a culture of open communication and respect. Demonstrate strong negotiation skills to move key customers to a value-based relationship Leads with honesty and integrity, earns trust, and always does the right thing -- even when no one's watching. Must be highly flexible and able to manage multiple priorities, shifting gears as needed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Great with people -- strong communication skills and the ability to build solid relationships across all levels. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and able to stay professional and calm under pressure. Strong business sense, with experience managing budgets, managing AR and collections, and reviewing P&Ls, and planning for growth.
