The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Sales & Estimating Representative to join our dynamic team in Puslinch, Ontario. Reporting directly to the Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving sales growth by building strong client relationships, preparing accurate quotes, and supporting customers in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, while identifying new business opportunities by understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions.
Quoting & Estimating:
Prepare accurate and timely quotes, respond to customer inquiries, and provide product and application information. Follow up on quotes to secure orders and gather market intelligence from clients.
Order & Project Coordination:
Process and manage customer orders with precision. Collaborate closely with scheduling, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure accurate and on-time fulfillment.
Market & Competitive Awareness:
Stay up to date on industry trends, pricing, and competitor activities to support proactive sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Customer Support:
Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, prompt issue resolution, and a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Experience:
Previous experience in inside sales, estimating, or customer service preferred; experience in B2B or industrial markets is an asset.
Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with the metals industry and service center operations strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook) and sales tools. ERP system experience and AutoCAD knowledge are assets, particularly for preparing technical estimates.
Education:
Post-secondary education required; University or College degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to prepare and present information clearly and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
Time Management:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple estimates and orders simultaneously, and work collaboratively within a team.
Negotiation Skills:
Proven ability to negotiate effectively, balancing client satisfaction with company objectives, and fostering long-term partnerships.
