, is seeking a
Sales Director
to drive new business growth across the Greater Toronto Area. This is an exceptional opportunity for a results-driven sales professional with industry experience and a passion for building strong customer relationships in an essential, sustainability-focused sector.
About the Role
The Sales Director will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, and municipal clients, while also maintaining select key accounts. This is primarily a
hunter role
, ideal for someone who thrives on being in the field, engaging face-to-face, and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships. The position demands
considerable on-the-road activity
across the entire GTA region. The successful candidate will report directly to the VP and enjoy a high degree of
autonomy
while being supported by an experienced operations team.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to acquire and grow clients in the GTA region.
Proactively identify business opportunities and lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
Manage and strengthen relationships with a select portfolio of key accounts.
Build strong, consultative relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
Meet and exceed sales targets through disciplined execution and strategic follow-up.
Collaborate with internal operations and leadership teams to ensure seamless on-boarding and service delivery.
Qualifications
Minimum
5+ years of sales experience
in the waste, recycling, or environmental services industry.
Proven success in
new business development
, with strong account management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in the field.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout the GTA.
Must be based in or near the Greater Toronto Area or willing to relocate.
