Job Description


The Veterinary Director of Sales is responsible for all National Key Accounts within the Pillar as well as an internal focus to ensure support and strategic direction with internal sales support functions. This role is both externally customer facing (supporting Regional Key Account Managers) while also being internally focused (E-Com, Sales Enablement, Category Insights) supporting the field sales and working collaboratively cross functionally with Marketing, Finance, Scientific Affairs, and Supply) The Veterinary Director of Sales also plays a critical role in the S&OP+ process supporting the various stages as well as working directly with finance to manage/track/measure various trade/CP&A/outside overhead budgets.

What are we looking for?

  • 8+ years Sales Experience, preferably in Account Management
  • 5+ years people Management experience, preferably at a Sr. Level
  • University degree in related field
  • Strong communication skills
  • Cross functional experience in marketing, category management or revenue management is an asset
What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Lead development and implementation of the sales strategy that transforms the entire business with a focus on long term sustainable growth
  • Work with internal sales operations team to develop plans that will drive sustainable long-term growth via areas such as E-Com, Perfect Clinic, Nutrition Advisor, etc.
  • Coordinating In market executions to support strategic focus areas (e.g. E-Com) to deploy activations with a focus on ROI and overall strategic priorities
  • Attend customer meetings/top-to-tops (e.g. quarterly) and as needed
  • Continuously drive for Internal efficiencies around sales enablement to support field teams
  • Ensure adherence to all Internal controls while also demonstrating Guardian Mindset
  • Works with direct reports to develop their understanding and ownership of business segments plans, priorities and sales strategic objectives
  • Support overall pillar with S&OP+ process and other demand related forums
  • Adhere to applicable Quality and Food Safety Policies and Quality Management System requirements to ensure compliance to MARS standards.
  • Other duties as assigned
