Candidate Profile

This is a new role being created for a quota bearing sales manager and will focus on the sales of election modernization software solutions within Canada.

The position will report directly to the General Manager Canada. This is a predominantly self-autonomous and challenging role that requires the right candidate to show ownership, enthusiasm, professionalism and an entrepreneurial spirit towards business. This is a role which requires frequent travelling within the region.

The role would suit someone who is currently in a commercial role, selling software solutions/services into the Canadian market place in the private and public sector. Knowledge and understanding of the sales cycle/process of procurement in central and local government within Canada will be key to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a regional strategy and business plan.
  • Attend customer sites and regional events to promote the products/services.
  • Gather market knowledge and work with key stakeholders to maximize conversion of opportunities.
  • Secure and close deals partners, where necessary to gain business.
  • Report regularly on sales pipeline and current opportunities.
Requirements
  • Written and spoken English at negotiation level. French language will be a plus.
  • Experience in First Nations an asset.
  • Demonstrable commercial ability in to the public sector (regional and state government level). Having first-level contacts at the public will be a valuable plus.
  • First-hand knowledge of selling Software solutions and services.
  • Proven experience in managing a sales team.
  • Must be able to communicate at all levels (users to senior managers).
  • Experience of working in diverse teams and team management ability.
  • Availability to travel at short notice.
  • Comfortable working remotely.
