Job Description


On target income (OTI) is composed of your base salary + commission/bonus structure. OTI is a forecast of your potential earnings for the role.About the Role:As a Sales Development Representative, you will cover the Enterprise or the Higher Education market within North America. You will be responsible for generating sales-ready leads and opportunities via outbound and inbound prospecting by phone, email, and social outreach. You will be focused on industry and specific vertical markets as defined by sales and marketing strategies. You will be responsible for "running your own business" with autonomy to control your sales strategy. Your day will be a mix of prospecting, skill development, and team collaboration.A Day in the Life:

  • Work the majority of time with the rest of the team in our office located in Toronto understanding flexibility to be remote on some days.
  • Generate new business opportunities from outbound and inbound prospecting
  • Use a mixture of prospecting methods including cold calling, email, and social outreach
  • Work in collaboration with other Sales Development Representatives and Account Executives
  • Report on any new market trends that may provide additional insight to sales and marketing
  • Utilize Salesforce and other sales and marketing tools to track and maintain leads
  • Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly quotas and objectives
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education (or equivalent experience)
  • Preferably a candidate with 6 months - 1 year of sales experience.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong work ethic that is resilient when driving net new business.
  • High communication written and verbally as you\'ll be going after C-level executives and leadership.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Responsiveness and thorough follow-up with customers and prospects
  • Strong phone presence, comfortable with high-volume, outbound cold calling
  • Hunter\'s mentality, proactive and self-motivated
