With 3 locations in the Greater Toronto Area here in Ontario, Canada we have been manufacturing high-end kitchen cabinets for over 50 years and our innovative, superbly designed products have placed us at the forefront of the North American cabinetry industry. Our primary focus is customer and employee satisfaction. We are currently looking for a Sales Designer professional to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area! The Sales and Designer professional will work with clients conceptualizing their kitchen design and space planning and prepare creative design proposals for presentation. This role will provide you with good leads and you are also expected to drive new sales. You are innovative, creative and a team player who is able to lead by example in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. As a Sales Designer you will:

  • Meet clients in showroom and onsite to understand space being designed.
  • Pre-qualify prospective clients with appropriate questions to establish budget, timelines, and compatibility.
  • Create design concepts in response to client needs, using visual formats (CAD, Sketchup, hand sketch, etc.). Presentation of concepts and proposing workable budgets.
  • Ability to ask for and close the sale to obtain retainer and final payments.
  • Manage your planning of workflow for the entire design process from start to finish.
  • Manage your client\xe2\x80\x99s expectations by informing them of our process, policies, and timelines.
  • Specification research as required, such as for appliances - plumbing, electrical, gas etc.
  • Produce clean and accurate drawings with annotations and specifications clearly marked.
  • Prepare pricing estimates using our software. Submit written proposals to client.
  • Submit orders to production and work with the order processing team to sign off the confirmations in a timely manner.
  • Work within our system to comply with internal procedures and reports.
  • Achieve individual sales targets to support overall company objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned e.g., service issues and after install accessory sales.
As a successful candidate you will have the following:
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales and design experience in the cabinet industry required.
  • Proficient and highly skilled in AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of technical specs for appliances, sinks and faucets, kitchen, and bath.
  • Must be able to travel within the Greater Toronto Area to go on site as needed.
  • Able to work flexible hours including some weekends.
  • Proven ability to close sales deals and prospect clients, good at screening customers and understanding their budget requirements.
  • Excellent design and conceptual skills as evidenced in personal portfolio.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated effective deadline management and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to communicate with a broad range of individuals including clients, key members of the design teams, production department, installers, and contractors.
  • Passionate self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
