Job Summary
Reporting to the Rentals & Signature Events Supervisor, the
Sales Coordinator
plays a key role in supporting WAG-Qaumajuq's rental program by coordinating building rentals and providing exceptional client service. This role combines sales outreach, event logistics, and administrative support to ensure a seamless rental experience for external groups and partners.
Responsibilities
Sales & Client Coordination
Solicit building rentals to external groups and organizations.
Conduct sales tours and respond to rental inquiries.
Coordinate with rental clients regarding event needs and changes.
Event Logistics & Administration
Develop, implement, and evaluate rental plans, timelines, and strategies.
Organize and maintain budgets, mailings, and registrations as required.
Represent the Gallery positively in the community.
Equity & Workplace Culture
Contribute to a respectful and inclusive workplace.
Engage in ongoing education and apply WAG-Qaumajuq's anti-racism and equity policies in decision-making.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
At least 3 years' experience in sales programs or event management and production.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with backend website operations.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs as needed for event setup.
Valid driver's license.
Smart Choices Responsible Service certification or willingness to complete training.
Availability for periodic evening and weekend work.
Assets:
Certificate and/ or professional training in program or event management.
Bilingual (French- English).
Ability to speak and write an Indigenous language.
Familiarity with operating audio-visual equipment.
Completion of event planning/hospitality courses.
First Aid Certification.
