The Sales Consultant is responsible for promoting and selling retirement living suites and services by building relationships with prospective residents and their families. The role focuses on achieving occupancy targets through lead management, tours, presentations, and follow-up, while providing a compassionate, informative, and professional sales experience aligned with Canadian seniors' housing standards.
Key Responsibilities
Generate and manage leads through inquiries, referrals, walk-ins, events, and community outreach
Conduct personalized tours of the retirement community for prospective residents and families
Explain accommodation options, care services, amenities, pricing, and contract terms clearly and ethically
Build trust-based relationships with seniors, families, healthcare professionals, and referral partners
Follow up consistently with prospects via phone, email, and in-person meetings
Meet or exceed monthly and annual occupancy and sales targets
Maintain accurate records in CRM systems (e.g., lead status, tours, deposits, move-ins)
Coordinate move-in processes with operations, nursing, and hospitality teams
Participate in marketing events, open houses, and community presentations
Stay informed on competitors, market trends, and provincial regulations related to retirement living
Ensure all sales activities comply with provincial legislation (e.g., Retirement Homes Act in Ontario)
Qualifications & Experience
2+ years of sales experience (retirement living, real estate, hospitality, healthcare, or service-based sales preferred)
Experience working with seniors or families in emotionally sensitive decision-making environments is an asset
Post-secondary education in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or related field is an asset
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (often required for community outreach)

Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills
Empathy, patience, and professionalism when working with seniors and families
Proven ability to close sales and manage a consultative sales cycle
Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills
Comfortable using CRM software, MS Office, and email marketing tools
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
