Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Clerk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail sales and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Sales Clerk, you will play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers by assisting them with their purchases, providing product information, and ensuring the sales floor is well-merchandised.

Duties

Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations. Share product information to showcase features and benefits effectively. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising techniques. Assist with inventory management, including receiving stock, restocking shelves, and managing product displays. Upsell additional products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Exhibit strong communication skills while interacting with customers both in-person and over the phone.

Skills

Strong organizational skills to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently. Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing accurate change. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette, to engage with customers professionally. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Ability to lift 20-50lbs.
