This position at Shell is the primary guest service position for food service and the first impression for every customer that walks through the door.
CSP's act as the guide through the Deli experience ensuring each customer receives quality service and dedication while assisting them through menu selection, their beverage choices and payment processing.
CSP's are able to create a memorable and lasting impression whereby every customer is greeted and addressed with the upmost energy and friendly demeanor, provides detailed direction and assistance through the ordering process and ensures fast and efficient service. CSP's are encouraged to engage with guests in conversation as well as live by the brand values by being playfully outgoing and invoking a positive spirit into their daily actions.
Role of a CSP
Be enthusiastic, energetic and demonstrate a genuine positive demeanor throughout the shift
Be professional and hospitable while promoting the Shell and Deli brand
Ensure every customer receives the Deli experience and leaves eager to return
Give the customer suggestions & recommendations for food & drinks based on their wants or needs
Ensure service standards are met while moving the customer through the service experience in an efficient manner
Get to know regular customers preferences as well as identify opportunities to introduce customers to new offerings or options
Prepare food and beverage orders to standard
Duties & Responsibilities:
Knowledge of Shell and Deli brand including all products, menu's and promotions; flavor profiles, descriptors, benefits and complimentary flavours.
Take orders, handle food and beverage inquiries, sales of daily features and menu add on's, handles prepared food and beverage orders
Follow all company recipes for food and beverage preparation
Handling guest concerns with and without the support of the management team.
Providing the highest quality of service at all times in all customer interactions
Clearing, cleaning and restocking of all side stations and food and beverage stations
Processing bills and taking payment
Proper adherence to all cash handling procedures as outlined in company policies
Correct use of POS system, adhering to all company standards and policies

Job Requirements:
Ability to prioritize and stay organized in a high-paced environment
Minimum of 1-year related experience in a customer service role
Fluency in English both written and verbal
Experience with a point of sale system
Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
Must be able to carry and lift items weighing 20lbs
Must be able to stoop and bend
Must be able to stand and move for extended periods of time to continuously perform essential job functions.
