Jane's Cannabis Shop is a family operated, Cannabis retailer in Aurora, Ontario. We hope to foster a fresh and comfortable shop environment. We are gearing up to hire a welcoming team to help us achieve a culture of friendliness and warmth for our customers and staff.

Position Overview:

The sales associate is responsible to interact with customers to support their needs and deliver an optimal customer experience. They will share information and knowledge to educate customers on Cannabis and related products. In addition, they will be responsible to process customer orders using the shop POS system. The sales associate will be flexible to work in other shop areas as required, including order fulfillment and secure ID checking. We are an extended hour environment, flexibility to work various hours is a requirement, including evenings and weekends.

Job Responsibilities:

Sales Associate

Identify and understand customer needs, to provide appropriate product recommendations Contribute to cannabis sales through the effective presentation and explanation of each product's features and benefits Provide optimal customer service to ensure client satisfaction and encourage the development of on-going client relationships Demonstrate effective time management and organization to ensure smooth stop operations Work to support team members; pick product and fulfill orders, process sales transactions and provide secure ID checking, as required Adhere to all company defined procedures, operational and training standards, ensuring compliance Observe provincial regulations and requirements for the sale of Cannabis and associated products including; the socially responsible sale of Cannabis, rules related to the sale of Cannabis, and legal and compliance responsibilities for cannabis retailers Act in accordance with the law, demonstrate honesty and integrity

Qualifications Required:

Provincial required age minimum, 19 years + Valid Cansell certification Pre-employment satisfactory Criminal Background Check, based on AGCO requirements 1- year experience working in a customer focused environment with responsibility to achieve sales targets Demonstrated ability to interact professionally and diplomatically to resolve customer concerns General knowledge and motivation to learn about Cannabis products Experience working with different technologies; POS terminals and tablets Flexible to work various shifts in an extended hour environment Self motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively as part of a team Ability to act in accordance with the law, demonstrating honesty and integrity Must be able to lift, stack and carry 35 lbs /15.9 kg
