Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services that meet their needs Conduct engaging product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer interest Provide expert advice on merchandise, including upselling complementary items to maximize sales opportunities Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Manage stock levels through merchandising, stocking shelves, and organizing displays to create an inviting shopping environment Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Assist in inventory management by conducting stock checks and participating in regular stock replenishment activities Support the store's visual presentation by implementing merchandising plans aligned with company standards Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience Supervise or assist in training new team members when needed, fostering a collaborative team environment

Qualifications

Previous retail sales experience is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus but not required Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are highly valued Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays efficiently Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to increase sales volume Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail environments is advantageous Basic math skills for cash register operations and retail calculations Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
