Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services that meet their needs Conduct engaging product demos to educate customers about features and benefits Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked and organized Manage inventory by stocking new items, conducting stock counts, and assisting with merchandise replenishment Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy Support cashiering duties, including basic math calculations for transactions and processing returns or exchanges

Skills

Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures Strong supervising experience or ability to assist in team leadership when needed Ability to demonstrate products confidently through demos and explanations Bilingual skills are a plus, enabling effective communication with diverse customers Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for engaging with customers over the phone or in person Skilled in upselling techniques to enhance sales performance without pressuring customers Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math principles for accurate inventory management Experience working in a grocery store or similar retail environment is preferred Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
