Who we are: One of Toronto\xe2\x80\x99s oldest independent, family run jewellery stores. We are currently in our 78th year and going strong. We are located in the east end of Toronto, in an up and coming neighbourhood that is about to see significant growth. We are currently looking for a sales associate to join our team. We specialize in custom engagement rings, wedding bands as well as a variety of finished jewellery, estate and antique jewellery. We also do a lot of repair and restoration services. Who we are looking for: Our ideal candidate is someone who is outgoing, enthusiastic, comfortable and friendly with customers and can manage custom jewellery orders from start to finish (no actual hands-on, goldsmith duties). You can also work well with a team of 2 to 3 people to accomplish daily goals as well as working towards longer term goals. We have a large base of repeat customers. You would be comfortable with general conversations and developing a rapport with our customer base. Excellence in customer service is one of our main objectives. We strive to make sure every customer leaves our store happy. Our ideal candidate will be able to handle conflict resolution and maintain customer satisfaction. Our team works together to manage online images and inventory, social media and other opportunities. You will be assisting in the timeliness and implementation of these tasks. Skills: -Excellent communication skills -Enthusiastic and able to engage with a variety of customers -Ability to direct and close sales -Able to organize orders and manage deadlines -An understanding of general jewellery practices (basic design and basic understanding of jewellery construction in order to assist in selling custom jewellery, nothing hands-on) Daily Responsibilities: -Opening and closing of the store -Greeting and servicing walk in customers -Managing emails -Processing repair and custom orders -Manage your daily appointments with customers -Assist in tasks to accomplish long and short term goals -General store maintenance (Cleaning counters and floors. Making sure garbage and recycling bins are not over full. Cleaning jewellery on a regular basis). Mainly keeping a clean and tidy store. Our daily routines will fluctuate throughout the year. We will typically come up with ideas and implement changes, as a team, as we work through Valentine\xe2\x80\x99s day, wedding band/engagement ring season, Christmas season etc. It\xe2\x80\x99s a fun process that keeps things fresh and exciting for the whole team. Schedule: We are open Mondays to Fridays, 10am to 6pm and Saturdays, 9am to 5pm. This is a full time position which includes four weekdays and Saturday. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Benefits:
