Overview

We're looking for an energetic and motivated

Sales Associate

to join our team. In this role, you'll be the face of Island Furniture on the showroom floor, helping customers find the right pieces for their homes while ensuring they feel supported throughout their shopping experience.

Responsibilities

Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations. Conduct product demonstrations and assist customers in understanding product features and benefits. Handle transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring efficient cash handling and cashiering practices. Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising techniques. Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a positive customer experience. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and following up on customer feedback. Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales targets and maintain a cohesive work environment. Utilize strong communication skills to foster relationships with customers, enhancing their overall shopping experience.

Requirements

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for customer service. A self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous sales experience (retail or furniture sales an asset). Comfort working with point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
