Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience Assist customers with product selections, answer questions, and perform engaging product demos to highlight features and benefits Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Upsell additional products or services to meet customer needs and increase sales revenue Maintain attractive merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked and properly merchandised according to store standards Manage inventory by stocking shelves, organizing back stock, and conducting regular stock counts Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries and assisting customers remotely Conduct basic retail math for transactions, pricing, and inventory management Support cashiering duties, including processing returns, exchanges, and refunds efficiently Engage in merchandising activities to promote featured products and seasonal displays Uphold store policies, safety procedures, and cleanliness standards at all times Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve sales goals and improve store operations Provide bilingual support when needed to serve a diverse customer base effectively

Qualifications

Previous retail sales experience or familiarity with grocery store environments is preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with customers in a friendly, professional manner Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are a plus Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory counts Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math concepts Bilingual skills to assist a diverse customer base are highly desirable Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills Ability to stand, walk, and lift merchandise for extended periods Enthusiastic, energetic, and motivated to contribute to a team-oriented environment Familiarity with grocery store operations and product demos is advantageous

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20,000.00-$79,469.59 per year

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Work Location: In person
