Call person for a lasagna factory

Position Summary
The Inside Sales & Field Account Representative is responsible for contacting retail stores to take orders, manage re-orders, and grow existing accounts through a combination of phone-based sales and face-to-face in-store visits. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable on the phone, confident in person, and understands relationship-based selling in food or retail environments.
Key Responsibilities
Inside Sales / Phone Responsibilities
Call existing retail accounts to:
Take orders and schedule re-orders
Confirm inventory levels and product needs
Promote new SKUs, seasonal items, or specials
Follow up on leads and previously contacted stores
Accurately enter orders into the system and communicate with production/logistics
Maintain detailed call notes and account records
Meet or exceed weekly call and order targets
Field / Face-to-Face Responsibilities
Visit retail stores in assigned territories to:
Build relationships with store owners, managers, and buyers
Confirm shelf placement, freezer space, and product visibility
Take orders in person and support re-ordering
Introduce new products and merchandising opportunities
Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts
Represent the company professionally in all in-store interactions
Provide basic product education when required
Account Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
Resolve basic customer issues and escalate when necessary
Support long-term account retention and growth
Coordinate with management on sales trends and feedback from stores
Qualifications & Skills
Experience in inside sales, telesales, or retail sales (food or CPG preferred)
Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls
Confident and professional in face-to-face customer interactions
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Organized with good attention to detail
Ability to travel locally for store visits
Valid driver's license (if applicable)
Basic computer skills (CRM, order entry, email)
Preferred Experience
Food manufacturing, frozen foods, or grocery retail experience
Experience working with independent retailers or small chains
Order-taking, re-order management, or broker-style sales roles
Compensation
Base pay + performance-based commissions or bonuses (structure to be defined)
Mileage reimbursement for in-field visits (if applicable)
