Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Full-Time Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fishing, experience with retail sales and POS systems, and a customer-focused attitude. You'll play a key role in helping customers find the right gear, providing expert advice, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked sales floor.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers with a positive, knowledgeable, and professional approach Provide expert advice on fishing gear, tackle, and local fishing conditions Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system for transactions, returns, and exchanges Assist with inventory management, including receiving and restocking merchandise Process product orders and special requests Maintain clean and organized displays and merchandising Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner Stay current with product knowledge, new arrivals, and industry trends Support store promotions, events, and seasonal campaigns

Qualifications & Requirements:

Required:

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in fishing (local knowledge is a bonus)

Preferred:

Experience in retail sales and POS systems

Preferred:

Familiarity with inventory processes (ordering, receiving, restocking) Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
