Eosense is a product company that helps academia and industry visualize and measure greenhouse gases to manage climate change impacts. We design and build weatherproof gas monitoring devices for research and industrial applications, focusing on emissions from soil. We are seeking enthusiastic candidates for the position of Sales Associate. This is a maternity leave coverage position (approximately 18 months), with the potential to transition into a permanent role as our team continues to grow. Candidates should have experience in a technical sales role and excellent organizational skills. This individual will report to the Sales Manager and be responsible for regional sales and business development efforts, as well as building and maintaining customer relationships.

Responsibilities



The Sales Associate is responsible for sales performance in the scientific market, primarily within North America. They will work closely with the Sales and Marketing team to guide department tactics while ensuring overall alignment with company strategic objectives. As a key component of the role, the Sales Associate is responsible for interfacing with clients, understanding their needs and offering solutions that Eosense can deliver on. The Sales Associate is also responsible for communicating client needs to product development and other internal stakeholders.

Activities will include but are not limited to:

Find potential customers by reviewing new or existing publications, using internet searches, through online or in-person conference attendance and using other methods Communicate with customers by email, telephone or video conferencing to understand their needs and discuss features of Eosense products or services Follow procedures to quote customers, apply for tenders, fill out procurement paperwork, process POs, submit orders to production, and invoice customers Communicate on the status of orders, ensure that the order matches the PO and that the customer has everything that is required for a smooth set up Participate in CRM pipeline management and sales forecasting Contribute to the development and execution of outbound sales strategies for the North American market Collaborate with R&D and Technical Support teams to manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction Contribute to outreach and marketing efforts by helping with content, newsletters, and representing the company at trade shows and conferences. Other duties as required

Skills and Experience



Minimum 2 years of experience in technical sales, including outbound prospecting and managing the complete sales cycle with a proven track record of performance. Experience with CRM and other sales tools Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including ability to communicate highly technical information Strong attention to detail Excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently Excellent problem solving skills Proficiency in English, written and verbal Ability to travel globally up to 40% of the time
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
