Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

As a Vehicle Sales Associate you will be responsible for consulting with customers to understand their needs and proposing the most appropriate vehicle weighing and service solution, across Alberta. Once transacted you will also be responsible for determining the responsible parties for each aspect of the installation, serving as a general contractor in order to coordinate delivery, foundation modifications, electrician requirements, potential carpentry for scale houses, coordinating machinery for moving and excavating, and certification of the scales to local authorities.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Meet annual targets by actively collaborating with the sales manager in account selection process and identifying key accounts while utilizing and learning a variety of key account strategies
  • Travel throughout assigned territory with sales managers and sales specialist, and independently to call on regular and prospective customers to educate, inform, and solicit orders
  • Actively work to understand our data systems, rules, and areas for improvement in order to improve the quality and completeness of data within the CRM
  • Collaborate with Sales Manager in annual account selection and assist in building a detailed penetration plan for designated accounts
  • Actively participate in bi-weekly pipeline reviews and penetration plan reviews
  • Work with sales manager to develop a comprehensive territory review at least once per year
What You Need to Succeed
  • Basic understanding of mechanical principles or any formal education in engineering is a plus
  • Experience selling heavy industrial equipment is preferred
  • Former project management experience is preferred
  • Willing to travel overnights up to 50%
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the U.S.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
