With 5 Stores between Airdrie and Calgary, Windsor Plywood has strong market presence in the area. We specialize in hard-to-source interior and exterior home finishing products including flooring, doors, mouldings and especially wood products. Our goal is simple -

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Sales Associate primary focus is to serve Contractor Customers through the entire sales cycle. The products sold require an order-fill and solution-based approach to meet the needs of our customers. You will be instructed to maintain - and capture new - sales relationships with key contractors. Assisting with walk-in customers is routinely required. You will be asked to use saw equipment from time to time when the need arises. A typical day will likely include administrative tasks, serving customers while standing at a counter, loading customer vehicles by hand and equipment/forklift (when required), while getting your hands dirty. This is an extremely hands-on position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure every customer experience exceeds the customer's expectations -

Develop professional long-term relationships with key contractor accounts and walk in customers Demonstrate high-knowledge of inventory details, location & stock-levels on site Processing transactions - Purchase Orders, Quotes, Invoices, Packing Slips Be aware of all major changes to Building Envelope codes that may affect products & materials sold by Windsor Plywood Find innovative methods to supply, substitute, transfer and special-order products Demonstrate ability to identify grades, dimensions & species of lumber Actively monitor stock levels, organization & provide input on pricing Assisting customers with material delivery placement & repositioning Educate customer on additional accessories & supplies available from Windsor Plywood On-site visits of job sites and facilities as directed by Management Operate Forklift in a diligent, efficient & safe manner Assist with loading and unloading trucks in a safe, timely manner

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Previous Contractor | Commercial sales experience is required. Applicants with prior Building Supply Industry experience | Building Codes, Blueprints, Permitswill be given preference. Experienced with operating a Sit-Down Counter Balance Forklift Ability to us Saw Equipment for periodic use Deal with changes, delays, or unexpected events in a professional & timely manner Strong work ethic and self-motivated/self-directed, with an ability to work independently Use sound judgment, logical reasoning skills, and intuition Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Permanent resident of Canada and a Driver's License is preferred
