Placida Decor Inc. is a dynamic furniture company rooted in Burnaby, BC, offering a range of modern and functional designs through our exclusive in-house brands, crafted in Asia. As a young and burgeoning business, we pride ourselves on delivering a hands-on, customer-focused retail and showroom experience. We are currently seeking a reliable and self-motivated Sales Associate to join our team, contributing to the daily success of our showroom.

What You'll Do



Open and Close the Store: Manage the store's opening and closing routines independently. Customer Interaction: Greet and assist walk-in customers with professionalism and friendliness. Showroom Maintenance: Ensure the showroom is in pristine condition by resetting furniture layouts, cleaning surfaces, and maintaining presentation standards. Light Janitorial Tasks: Perform tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, and taking out garbage. Furniture Handling: Lift and move furniture boxes weighing between 30 to 60 lbs. Organization: Keep the store organized and ready for business at all times. Task Management: Work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision. Inventory Management: Maintain inventory tidiness and ensure stock is floor-ready. Team Support: Support small team initiatives and participate in merchandising resets. Digital Engagement: Learn and support online sales platforms and digital customer interaction tools.

What We're Looking For



Experience: Previous retail or sales experience is required; experience in furniture or home goods is a plus. Independent and Initiative-Driven: Ability to work independently and take initiative. Ownership Mindset: Treat the store as your own, showcasing a strong sense of responsibility. Physical Capability: Physically able to lift and move heavy items regularly. Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean and organized spaces. Flexible Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Self-Starter Attitude: Eagerness to grow and take on more responsibility. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using digital tools and platforms. Willingness to Learn: Open to learning online sales techniques; prior knowledge is an advantage.
